Bangor Beautiful worked with the City of Bangor to refurbish the three Welcome to Bangor signs located along key gateways to our city: crossing the Penobscot from Brewer, entering Bangor on Route 2 from Hermon, and arriving from the airport on Union Street.

Each sign has been repainted and planted with a native pollinator garden to serve as an example of how to create pollinator habitat.

We completed all three signs thanks to financial support from Varney Agency,  Bangor International Airport, and MAC Heat Pumps, and supplies provided by the City of Bangor Public Works Department.
