Trees & Bees

The Trees & Bees Committee is charged with landscape and pollinator projects around Bangor.

The committee is responsible for planting trees, creating gardens, and finding new opportunities to make our community more friendly for pollinators.

Current Projects

Spring Tree Planting - Friday, May 10, 2024 - 9am to 12pm

We are planting 17 new street trees at the intersection of Hammond, Ohio, High, and Clinton Streets to enhance aesthetics, provide shade, and improve pedestrian safety. We're also creating a native edible/medicinal fruit hedge at the Good of the Hive Mural on Park Street.

You can support these tree plantings by Buying Bangor A Tree and/or volunteering to help plant!

World Bee Day Celebration & Planting - Monday, May 20, 2024 - 10am to 12pm

We are celebrating World Bee Day by planting 18 native edible/medicinal trees & shrubs to help pollinators on Park Street in front of the Good of the Hive mural.

Sign up to help to plant or sponsor a shrub/tree.

Making Bangor A Bee City USA
